Problem solving is an intrinsic and essential aspect of working mathematically. Practice in thinking logically, deductively and laterally increases the flexibility of a person’s thinking and provides a sound basis for success in all areas of life.
To solve the Dragon Drop puzzles, the player uses higher order thinking skills. To find solutions, the player makes conjectures (thoughtful guesses) about the position of bones that form the sides of squares, tests ideas and discards those that are unsuccessful.
